Health Report on Occupational Accident Protection Issue 1|Invisible Health Killer: Workers in the artificial stone industry are susceptible to silicosis
The “Health Report on Occupational Accident Protection” makes its grand debut! In order to help more workers suffering from occupational accidents and to provide them with first-hand medical information on occupational injuries and diseases, the Center for Occupational Accident Protection has conducted field interviews and prepared issues of E-Newsletters in the hope of bringing workers suffering from occupational accidents more information and new knowledge of occupational injuries and diseases, and letting workers suffering from occupational accidents know more about the resources available to them. In the first issue of the E-Newsletter, Chief Liu HW of Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital wrote an article reminding workers in the artificial stone industry of the health hazards that may be brought about if they are not properly protected.
