2026 Occupational Safety and Health Awareness Program for Agricultural and Fishery Workers in Southern Taiwan
To enhance occupational safety and health awareness among workers with unique employment arrangements who often lack access to employer-provided training, the Southern Occupational Accident Technical Service Department partnered with local farmers’ and fishermen’s associations throughout 2026 to conduct outreach activities on common occupational hazards in the agricultural and fishery sectors, as well as rights and protections under Occupational Accident Insurance. The program also featured occupational medicine specialists and occupational therapists who guided participants through basic musculoskeletal strengthening and stretching exercises. The initiative aims to help agricultural and fishery workers prevent occupational injuries and better understand the resources and support available should occupational accidents occur.
