Taipei Premiere of the digital remastering version of the 2023 Women Workers Documentary
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the accident, and the documentary "The Lost Youth: Women and Industrial Work in Taiwan" has been reproduced in a digitally remastered version. On September 18, a screening of the documentary was held in Taipei at the International Conference Hall of the Ministry of Labor, where Minister of Labor cum Chairman of the Center, Mr. Hsu Ming-Chun and the Control Yuan Center Premier, Ms. Chen Chu were present to show their commitment to safeguarding the right to gender equality and a safer working environment.

The Deputy Minister of Labor, Mr. Lee Chun-Yi, attended the screening to work together for the right to gender equality of workers.

We must not forget that these fruits are the result of the sacrifices of many young women.

“The Lost Youth: Women and Industrial Work in Taiwan”, published in 2011, has not faded with time into obscurity.

Family members shared their feelings about the documentary, wiping away tears.

The Control Yuan Premier and the Minister of Labor listened to family members' sharing their feelings.

The Minister was in tears after listening to the families' sharing and emphasized that we must try our best to make sure that such a tragedy will not happen again.
