2026 Occupational Safety Day Safety Experience and Exhibition Event | Thousands Gather at the Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal to Rethink Workplace Safety Awareness

In support of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Center for Occupational Accident Prevention and Rehabilitation (COAPRE), in collaboration with the Kaohsiung City Government, the Ministry of Labor, and the Port of Kaohsiung, Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd., jointly hosted the “2026 Kaohsiung Occupational Safety Day Safety Experience and Exhibition Event” at the Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal on April 18.
Centered around the theme “Kaohsiung New Asia Bay Area: Safeguarding Occupational Safety Together,” the event attracted more than a thousand distinguished guests, workers, and members of the public, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the venue.

Fun Interactive Challenges Make Occupational Safety Easy to Learn
- The event creatively combined serious occupational safety advocacy with the relaxed and engaging atmosphere of a community fair.
- Participants who completed occupational safety interactive experiences at exhibition booths hosted by 37 enterprises, government agencies, and organizations were able to redeem dining vouchers through an interactive stamp collection challenge.
- The diverse activities offered visitors both entertainment and food while deepening their understanding of the importance of occupational accident prevention through hands-on learning.

Immersive Technology Experiences Reinforcing Safety Awareness
- The event also featured a carefully curated workplace safety exhibition zone and immersive interactive experience zone. Through demonstrations of various equipment and protective devices, participants gained a clear understanding of the practical functions of workplace safety facilities.
- The dynamic experience activities proved especially popular! The program featured a wide range of interactive experiences, including VR-based occupational safety training, heat hazard reduction simulations, smart monitoring system applications, and scaffold high-altitude operation demonstrations.
- Through first aid training, virtual reality experiences, and noise exposure simulations, participants were guided through realistic scenarios that helped them learn how to identify workplace risks and respond appropriately.
Promoting Workplace Health and Building a Sustainable Environment Together
- In addition to occupational safety promotion, this year’s event also incorporated a “Workplace Healthy BMI Competition and Action Pledge Launch Ceremony.”
- Through fun quiz competitions and a collective pledge ceremony, enterprises and workers were encouraged to prioritize health management and integrate health promotion into daily workplace practices.
