2026 Central Occupational Accident Technical Service Department | May Education and Training
To strengthen regional awareness of occupational accident prevention and further enhance the professional services provided by the Central Occupational Accident Technical Service Department (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”), a series of education and training activities were conducted in May 2026. This month, the Department partnered with the Changhua County Farmers’ Association to organize an occupational safety and health awareness program for farmers and fishermen. Physicians and industry experts were invited to deliver presentations addressing common workplace hazards encountered by frontline agricultural and fishery workers, while also providing health education and safety guidance. In addition, the Department conducted an occupational safety and health outreach program for middle-aged and older workers at the Zhunan Service Office of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau in Miaoli County, reducing the inconvenience of cross-regional travel for local workers. The training focused on workplace environment improvement strategies for middle-aged and older workers, as well as case studies related to Occupational Accident Insurance. Through localized professional services, the program sought to promote decent work and further enhance the effectiveness of occupational accident prevention.
In collaboration with the Changhua County Farmers’ Association, the Department organized an occupational safety and health awareness program for farmers and fishermen. Dr. Wu Wei-Han, an occupational medicine specialist from St. Martin De Porres Hospital, and Manager Chang Jo-Ying were invited to deliver presentations on common workplace hazards faced by agricultural and fishery workers, as well as the protections available through Occupational Accident Insurance and Labor Insurance. Department staff also introduced COAPRE’s services and programs. The event received positive feedback from local participants. All attendees joined COAPRE’s official LINE account on the day of the event, further strengthening communication and engagement between the Department and participants.
