A Fresh New Look! COAPRE Kaohsiung Office Empowers Worker and Community Well-Being Through Technology-Enabled Mind-Body Balance Assessments

The Kaohsiung Office of the Center for Occupational Accident Prevention and Rehabilitation (COAPRE) unveiled a vibrant new look in May 2026. The newly designed exterior signage on the first floor features warm colors and lively illustrations, creating a welcoming atmosphere that has attracted the attention of many passersby.

To help local workers and community members gain a deeper understanding of the extensive resources available through COAPRE's one-stop service model, the Kaohsiung Office hosted the “Positive Health Energy: Mind-Body Balance Assessment Event” on May 27, 2026. The event attracted enthusiastic participation and offered visitors an engaging health experience that combined advanced technology with personalized service. Through guided tours and introductions to COAPRE's services, staff helped participants explore the Center's facilities and resources.

During the event, workers and community members had the opportunity to experience and operate a variety of professional assessment and training equipment firsthand. These included the VALPAR Comprehensive Work Sample Series (VCWS) computerized sorting training system, which challenged participants' concentration and fine motor skills. Participants also engaged with a hand-eye-foot coordination training system designed to assess hand-eye coordination and dynamic cognitive response capabilities through interactive exercises. Many attendees expressed surprise at how advanced occupational accident rehabilitation assessment tools have become, commenting that the experience felt more like participating in an interactive challenge than a traditional evaluation, helping bridge the gap between professional services and the public.

One of the most popular features of the event was the use of professional physiological assessment tools that enabled participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of their overall health status. Through Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis, participants received scientific insights into stress and fatigue levels associated with daily life, helping identify ways to restore physical and mental balance. This was complemented by InBody body composition analysis, which provided detailed measurements of muscle and body fat composition. Participants received a clear picture of their physical health status and were offered professional health and wellness recommendations by medical professionals.

The visit and hands-on experience not only strengthened connections between COAPRE and local workers and community members, but also enhanced public understanding of the Center's one-stop service model and integrated resource network. Through scientific assessments and comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services, the Southern Occupational Accident Technical Service Department serves not only as a guardian of workplace safety, but also as a trusted partner supporting individuals in overcoming the challenges of occupational accidents, successfully returning to work, and rebuilding their careers. Workers and community members are welcome to participate in future events and experience the positive health energy offered through COAPRE's services.
