Visits by the Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee of the Legislative Yuan and the Ministry of Labor

Convener of the Social Welfare and Healthy Environment Committee of the Legislative Yuan, Ms. Wu Yu-Chin led a team to visit the Center for Occupational Accident Prevention and Rehabilitation at 12:00 noon on March 27, 2023 to show concern for the situations of occupational accident workers rehabilitation services.

In addition to the Convener attending the meeting in person, there were other members of the Legislative Yuan, including Chiu Tai-Yuan, Ker Chien-Ming, Wen Yu-Hsia, Su Chiao-Hui, Lin Wei-Chou, Cynthia Wu, Chen Ying and Fan Yun as well as Chang Li-Tung, Chief Secretary of the Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee, representatives of Social and Family Affairs Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Chen Jui-Chia, Director General of the Department of Labor Affairs of New Taipei City Government, Hsu Hsiu-Neng, Deputy Director General of the Department of Social Welfare of New Taipei City Government, Chen Chieh-Ju, Chairman of the Yu-Cheng Social Welfare Foundation, Lai Ping-Liang, CEO of Tzuyo Workshop, and Tsai Jui-Chen, Deputy CEO of Tzuyo Workshop.

Hsu Ming-Chun, Minister of Labor, Tsou Tzu-Lien, Director General of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Tsai Meng-Liang, Director General of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Ministry of Labor and Ho Jiune-Jye, CEO of the Center also personally received and briefed the visitors and responded to the comments made by a number of legislators' offices. Hsu Ming-Chun, who is also the Chairman of the Center, emphasized that the Center focuses not only on preventive counseling for occupational accidents, but also on occupational injuries and diseases and rehabilitation services for workers suffering from occupational accidents. Especially in rehabilitation, the Center has a number of senior professional occupational therapists, social workers, nurses and physicians, and integrate the various resources. In the future, it will also set up "occupational accident rehabilitation homes" to provide one-stop services for workers suffering from occupational accidents. We integrate occupational therapy, social rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation, hoping to let injured workers not worry about anything from treatment to returning to work, and our partners will support us all the way.

The visit ended smoothly at 2:40 p.m., with positive comments on the current business priorities and direction of the Center.
