In line with inter-agency consensus, the Ministry of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has proposed amendments to the Standards based on the 8th edition of the GHS Purple Book. The Bureau of Standards, Metrology, and Inspection (BSMI) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs is currently handling the revision process. To ensure that domestic businesses are well-informed about the latest updates to the GHS Purple Book and the related implementation measures, OSHA has organized briefings on the updates to chemical classification and labeling according to the GHS Purple Book.

The abovementioned briefing will be conducted via online video conference, with registration open from August 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM until the available slots are filled.
