2024 Seminar on Occupational Accident Rehabilitation Service Cases-Dachien Hospital

According to Article 15 of the Regulation for the Management and Subsidies of Approved Professional Occupational Rehabilitation Institutions for Occupational Accident Workers, personnel from professional occupational rehabilitation institutions must participate in at least 12 hours of on-the-job training courses for occupational rehabilitation organized by central competent authorities every year. In light of this, the center held a three-hour on-the-job training course in 2024 titled “Seminar on Occupational Accident Rehabilitation Service Cases” for professionals in occupational accident worker rehabilitation services.

To effectively assist in the integration of regional resources, promotion and counseling for rehabilitation services for occupational accident workers, COAPRE has organized a seminar on occupational accident rehabilitation service cases. Through case discussions, introduction of resources and sharing of experiences, as well as discussing issues related to occupational accident worker rehabilitation services, it will focus on the challenges in referring or linking resources for occupational accident worker rehabilitation, with the aim of strengthening vertical and horizontal integration in these services. Professionals from medical rehabilitation, social rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation, and vocational rehabilitation fields will be invited to propose practical solutions and specific implementation methods. They will collaborate to develop appropriate cooperative plans and service processes to help occupational accident workers return to work.

The meeting was co-organized with Dachien Hospital, the only accredited hospital specializing in occupational rehabilitation in Miaoli County. Since 2017, the hospital has taken on occupational accident worker rehabilitation subsidy cases to help local occupational accident workers return to work. Besides sharing and discussing return-to-work services for typical and special-needs occupational accident workers, the medical team from Dachien Hospital was also invited to share their interdepartmental collaboration and tracking models for occupational accident workers in the seminar.
