The service objectives of occupational rehabilitation professional institutions are to assist workers suffering from occupational accidents to return to work, which includes the original workplace and re-employment services. The aforementioned workplace includes the original workplace and re-employment services, so they can provide services related to workers suffering from occupational accidents who are unable to return to their original work, and the content of the services is based on the assessment and analysis of specialist physicians in occupational medicine and therapists at occupational rehabilitation professional institutions to determine the service objectives and content.
Through matching vocational rehabilitation resources, such as referral to employment services and vocational counseling assessment, including vocational counseling assessment, vocational training, employment services, employment placement, career consultation, employment matchmaking, job accommodation, etc., the aim is to assist workers suffering from occupational accidents with re-employment. -
Psychological problems of workers after occupational accidents include psychological / emotional / cognitive problems, which may affect their lives and work. Depending on the workers'needs, the following services are available upon request:
- Occupational injury and disease treatment center.
- For those whose psychological problems directly affect working capacity, occupational rehabilitation professional institutions may be consulted for psychological or working capacity hardening services or training.
- Those whose psychological problems do not directly affect working capacity can consult local labor competent authorities for free psychological services, such as mental health centers.

The working capacity hardening service is to provide functional hardening training for specific jobs, so workers suffering from occupational accidents need to have specific job objectives.
If the workers suffering from occupational accidents do not have specific job objectives, it is recommended to first help them understand the strengths and weaknesses of their working capacity through career counseling assessment, as well as the possible jobs and tasks they can take up. When there is a gap between the working capacity of workers suffering from occupational accidents and the functions required by their jobs, they can receive working capacity hardening training services. -
Yes, a case can be opened. If the worker suffering from an occupational accident meets the criteria for rehabilitation services and is willing to return to work (either at their previous workplace or at another workplace), a case can be opened.
However, the labor dispute between the worker suffering from an occupational accident and his or her employer may affect the directions and objectives of the worker’s returning to work. Therefore, it is recommended that occupational rehabilitation institutions should cooperate with relevant professionals, such as the professional service personnel of the "Family Assistance Program" for workers suffering from occupational accidents, to keep track of the progress and situation of labor-management disputes. -
According to Paragraph 2, Article 7 of the Labor Occupational Accident Insurance and Protection Act, Category A members of fisheries associations without regular employment or self-employed should have compulsory insurance coverage under the labor occupational accident insurance, so the operating personnel under fishery insurance who meet the above qualifications can also receive the services of occupational rehabilitation professional institutions.

Workers identified and recognized as having an occupational accident status and assessed for the needs of occupational accident workers rehabilitation services by an occupational medicine physician as having definite needs for occupational accident rehabilitation services are eligible to have a case opened.
However, under the following circumstances, no case is allowed to be opened:
- Self-employed or employers who are not insured for labor occupational accident insurance.
- Participants in insurance for civil servants and teachers (including insurance for former public servants and former private school faculties and staffs), insurance for military personnel, health insurance for farmers, occupational accident insurance for farmers, national pension insurance, or other social insurance.
- Those who have no willingness or potential to return to work.

Employers should provide necessary assistive facilities for workers involved in occupational accidents, including tools, work environment, equipment, and machinery that can restore, maintain, or enhance their employment capabilities per Article 67 of the "Labor Occupational Accident Insurance and Protection Act". Employers may apply for subsidies for assistive facilities from the competent authorities of municipalities or counties (cities). Subsidy standard: The total amount of subsidies for each worker involved in the same occupational accident is limited to NT$100,000.

Yes. When there is a change in the situation of the case, specialist physicians in occupational medicine can be consulted to adjust the recommendation report of the return to work program according to the situation of the workers suffering from occupational accidents. The fee for the recommendation report of the return to work program can only be charged once, regardless of the number of times the report is written.
